Black Stars goalkeepers' trainer, Fatau Dauda, has disclosed that Ghana's ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup rests on the shoulders of the Black Stars and they will do their utmost to qualify for the tournament.

He revealed that the team is determined to qualify for the tournament.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted across three countries for the first time: USA, Canada, and Mexico. Ghanaians are excited about the prospect of the Black Stars making it to the tournament.

Currently leading their group in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with 9 points after four matches, the Black Stars have four more matches to secure their spot in the next World Cup.

Dauda expressed to GhanaWeb.com that the team is fully committed to making Ghanaians proud and ensuring their qualification for the World Cup.

"As Kudus would say, their visa is in our hands, so we are doing our best to achieve success. It may take time, but we are working towards it."

He emphasized the importance of the upcoming matches, stating, "the games we have played are behind us; the upcoming games are crucial. We are hopeful that we will come out victorious in the matches ahead."

Ghana kicked off the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers with a 1-0 win over Madagascar, followed by a 1-0 loss to Comoros.

They secured a 2-1 victory against Mali in Bamako and a 4-3 win over the Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
