Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana has caught the eye of Serie A outfit Atalanta as they seek reinforcements ahead of the 2024/25 season, according to Italian transfer expert Di Marzio.

A potential move to Atalanta would mark a return to the club where Sulemana began his Italian journey before stints at Verona and Cagliari.

Reports indicate that discussions between Atalanta and Cagliari, where Sulemana currently plies his trade, are advancing positively. Both clubs are reportedly nearing an agreement for the talented midfielder's transfer.

Sulemana, 21, impressed during his debut season with Cagliari following his move from Hellas Verona, particularly under the guidance of manager Claudio Ranieri.

He featured prominently in Serie A, starting 16 games and making five substitute appearances, while also netting two goals.

His performances didn't go unnoticed, earning him a spot in Ghana's national team for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic in June.

Sulemana made his international debut as a substitute in Ghana's thrilling 4-3 victory over the Central African Republic at Baba Yara Stadium.
