Ghana’s Kumordzi nears comeback

Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Yao Kumordzi could return to action soon after starting light training over the weekend.

The 28-year-old midfield enforcer had a torn tibia two months ago in the Belgian Pro League when his side Genk played Mouscron.

He was expected to be out for three months but Goal Ghana can reveal that his recovery has been fast and started light training last weekend.

Manager Alex Mcleish has also welcome back striker Mboyo who was out a few weeks with a knock.

Kumordzi has been one of Genk’s best players since joining them from Dijon two seasons ago.
