Ghana’s Nasiru lauds Acheampong’s return to Black Stars

BK Hacken Ghanaian striker Nasiru Mohammed has commended the technical handlers of the Black Stars for recalling winger Frank Acheampong.

Acheampong was part of a 31-man provisional squad called for the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea next January.

Nasiru said he has no doubt the Anderlecht talisman will make the final list for the Nations Cup since his trait is to excel at any level.

Speaking to Goal while on holiday in Ghana, Nasiru also applauded the performance of his former playing mate back in Division One at Rainbow FC in Kumasi, saying he is not surprised to see the forward enjoying a glitzy career in Europe.

“I’m not surprised to see Frank performing in Europe because from Rainbow FC, he has been doing the same things both in training and matches, so his performance doesn't astonish me at all. He can even do more than what he is displaying now,” Nasiru said to Goal.

The Gothenburg-based Ghanaian attacker has ruled out a move from Sweden anytime soon.

“For now I will say yes, I'm not ready to move to either Real Madrid or Barca because I'm still young,” the 20-year-old stated.
