Former Anokye Stars midfielder Kingsley 'Strand' Sarfo has joined Swedish Superettan side IK Sirius from BW90 on a two-and-a-half year deal.
The 19-year-old has been training with Allsvenskan side Mjallby and was part of their Under-21 European tour yet he could not gain a contract but Sirius head coach Kim Bergstrand was impressed with his talent and has decided to offer him a platform to showcase his talent.
Sarfo believes he took the right decision after signing for the Uppsala-based club.
“It's true I've signed for the club [Sirius] and I think it's the right move for me,” Sarfo told Goal Ghana.
He becomes the third African player to join the club after Algerian Dalil Benyahia and Nigerian Moses Ogbu. Sirius are currently lying seventh on the log with 28 points after 19 games.
