hana’s first Para cyclist Alem Mumuni has become the second Ghanaian to qualify for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games after cycling governing body, Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), granted him a bipartite invitation slot to the Games.
This will be Mumuni’s second appearance at the Games after making history as the first Ghanaian Para cyclist to represent Ghana at the Olympic Games at London 2012.
The news comes weeks after power lifter Charles Narh Teye became the first Ghanaian to qualify for the Paralympic Games after his splendid performance at the Dubai Power lifting competition earlier in the year.
Meanwhile four other Para athletes are currently in the USA battling to qualify to participate in Rio.
