Ghana are sweating over the fitness of key midfielder Mubarak Wakaso for this month's back-to-back 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mozambique.
The Spain-based player suffered an injury in his club's top-flight league match against Getafe on Tuesday.
The midfielder, who is on loan from Russian side Rubin Kazan was replaced by Nabil El Zhr in the 15th minute of the game due to the injury.
Even though the extent of the injury is yet to be determined his early substitution is a worry for Ghana coach Avram Grant who will need the player.
Ghanaian fans will be hoping the injury is not too severe since the 25-year-old will be needed for the Black Stars 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mozambique this month.
Wakaso has so far made 17 league appearances for UD Las Palmas this season.
