Ghana to Play England in Accra...

... As Tickets for Ghana's Wembley date sell out

The English Football Association are in talks over a friendly in Accra after Ghana sold out 20,000 tickets for next month’s friendly at Wembley.

FA chairman David Bernstein has held discussions with lawyer Mel Goldberg, who helped organise the clash on March 29, over a return fixture within the next two years.

Officials claim the Black Stars could have sold double their allocation for the match against Fabio Capello‘s England side.

'On Wednesday I met the chairman of the FA to discuss the match on March 29 and had discussions about playing in Accra,' said Goldberg.

'There is a very good chance this will happen in due course, and not too far away.'

Ghana are playing a World Cup qualifier against Congo prior to the trip to London.

Skipper John Mensah, the Sunderland defender, said: 'It’s a game for our entire nation.

'I believe we can win but it won’t be easy. We play the Congo before but we cannot make excuses about tiredness. The Congo game is important and we are ready to die for our country.'
