As the qualification window for the 2024 Olympic Games is gradually closing, GNA Sports can confirm that Ghana will be represented in five events at the Paris Olympics.
Although only two disciplines qualified for the Games, Ghana will have representation in five events across athletics and swimming.
In swimming, Harry Stacey will compete in the 100-meter freestyle, while Joselle Mensah will participate in the 50-meter freestyle.
Reigning African high jumper, Rose Amoanimaa Yeboah, will compete in the high jump for athletics, and Abdul Rashid Samini will take part in the men's 200-meter race.
The 4x100-meter relay team will include Isaac Botsio, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah, Fuseini Ibrahim, and Gadayi.
In total, nine athletes from two disciplines will compete in five events at the Olympic Games.
The team is expected to depart for Strasbourg on Sunday, July 7, for a two-week intensive training camp and will leave for Paris by train on July 22 to enter the Games Village.
The Paris 2024 Olympic Games are scheduled to be held from Friday, July 26, 2024, to Sunday, August 11, 2024.
