Ghana will host Togo at the Tamale Sports Stadium in the last 2015 AFCON qualifying game after receiving massive home support from Tamale fans, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively confirm.
Ghana Football Association officials are hugely impressed with the unwavering support and massive turnout at the stadium during the Black Stars’ 3-1 triumph over Guinea on Wednesday evening.
The Black Stars recorded their first competitive win at the venue on style with tickets being sold out hours before kick-off.
And, the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Sports want to reward fans for demonstrating unflinching support for the team in difficult times.
“We are coming back here in Tamale in the next game. The President has confirm,” Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan in a post-match interview.
Wednesday’s game was Ghana’s second game at the venue since it was built for the 2008 AFCON after beating Uganda 2-0 in an international friendly in 2009.
Ghana will host Togo on November 19 in the last round of games in the 2015 AFCON qualifiers.
