Ghana to strike whiles the iron is still hot

Ismialia(Egypt),Oct 1, GNA -Black Satellites coach, Sellas Tetteh says his charges will strike the hardest whiles the iron is still hot as Ghana gears up for the last group D game against Uruguay at the Ismialia Stadium on Friday.

A win will take Ghana to nine points and a draw would still keep the Satellites as Group winners even on seven points and have the advantage of playing a weaker second placed opponent at the next stage of the competition at Ismialia, their home ground where they have won many hearts, at least for the next stage

Mr. Tetteh told GNA Sports that his charges have the quality to handle any opposition and that Uruguay would not be different adding that maintaining their hold on the group was not about to change. The coach reckons there was a lot of work to be done on his team that had been a slow beginner in their previous games but says the depth of their capabilities cannot be ignored.

"We can handle any opposition in the world today. The tempo of our game is there to show. The fact that this team is able to come back and fight means it's a fantastic team.

"Our transition from defence to attack underlines our strength and capabilities and everything we have done is enough to prove that we have what it takes to handle any team in the world today." Ghana, according to the coach plans to go as far as the final and all they have done and will continue to do is to keep their focus and take a game after the other.
