Ghana winger David Accam habors dreams of winning CAF POTY

Chicago Fire winger David Accam has revealed he dreams of winning the African Footballer of the year one day, following the crowning of Liverpool star Mohammed Salah as the King of Africa.

The Ghanaian winger had a stellar season in the Major League Soccer with Chicago Fire but was omitted in the Black Stars team that played at the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, last year.

At the Ceremony to crown the player of the year in Accra, the exciting winger revealed he wants to win the award in the future.

“Yes, of course, it is always an honor when I get nomination of win an award,” he told the press.

“You can never tell, I just pray for health and injury free and anything can happen.

“I am still playing active football and doing my best for my Club and as i said i will try and work hard and you can never tell what will happen.”

Mohammed Salah beat competition from Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane and Dortmund forward Pierre Emerick Agbamayeng to win the accolade.

Accam left Europe for America and was named in the best fifty MLS players in 2017.
