Ghanaian attacking midfielder Kwame Poku played a pivotal role when Peterborough United defeated Notts County in round 2 of the English FA Cup.
The 23-year-old started and played 90 minutes as his team cruised to a 4-3 victory over their opponent on Saturday at the Weston Homes Stadium.
Peterborough opened the scoring through Ricky-Jade Jones after just 10 minutes, assisted by the Ghanaian midfielder.
However, two quick goals from Cedwyn Scott and Matty Platt ensured Notts County went to the halftime break with the advantage.
In the 73rd minute, Ricky-Jade Jones scored his second goal of the match to level the score for the home team before Joel Randall extended the lead for his team following an assist from Abraham Odoh.
Three minutes before full-time, Abraham Odoh found the net to secure victory for Peterborough.
England international George Abbott reduced the deficit in stoppage time for Notts County.
The 23-year-old has been outstanding for the League One outfit this season, scoring 10 goals and providing 8 assists in 19 appearances across competitions.
