Ghanaian Walker For UK

The Visco Walking Club has been invited by the United Kingdom Race Walking Association to take part in four top-rate competitions slated for Crawley, Enfield, Southend and Derby all in the United Kingdom.

The Crawley event will take place on September 13 as well as the Endield encounter, while that of Southend will begin on September 20 to be followed by the Derby event which takes place a week after on September 27.

The invitation was authored by the general secretary of the Association P. J. Cassidy and was directed at four walkers namely, Vincent Asumang of the Ghana National Fire Service, Ahmed Tijani Sanni of the Ghana Armed Forces Navy, Abraham Kumi, Agyei Boateng and Jeremiah Damptey.

According to the Visco Walking Club just a two-man team will accompany the walkers in the persons of the team coach Mr. Albert Nukpezah and Mr. Elorm Togo an executive member of the club.

Plans are underway to get Stanley Briamah who took part in the World Walking Cup in Torino Italy to join the team to make it a formidable side.

A high field of sponsors namely SCOO LIMITED (ENERGIZER), LEXY-TECH ENTERPRISE, HEXAGON HOTEL, BIRIWA BEACH HOTEL, UNCLE EDWARD ENTERPRISE and JUSTICE PURE WATER have all been lined up in preparation for the doling out of the much needed cash for the trip.
