Renowned FIFA accredited football agent Yussif Chibsah has called on Ghanaian clubs (especially feeder clubs) to learn how to get the best out of their demands for solidarity fees from clubs who buy their players.
According to Chibsah, a lot of developmental clubs have suffered from issues regarding how to claim solidarity fees from various clubs due to their ignorance on the matter.
Chibsah in an interview with Footballmadeinghana.com says most of the clubs didn’t know about the existence of such fee until recently.
“A lot of our developmental clubs have really suffered from issues regarding how to claim solidarity fees from various clubs.
“Till recently, most of the clubs didn’t even know about the existence of such fee.
” If we are able to capitalise on such payments and developmental club owners invest those monies in nurturing talents, then we are sure to go places.”
Chibsah was answering a question regarding Asante Kotoko demanding a solidarity fee from Kazakhstani club FK Shakhter on the transfer of Gideon Baah.
