Ghanaian forward Benjamin Tetteh lifts MOL Cup with Sparta Prague in Czech

Former Ghana U-23 striker Benjamin Tetteh has clinched the MOL Cup with his club AC Sparta Prague.

The striker came on the bench to help the Reds from a goal down to beat Slovan Liberec 2-1 and win the trophy for the 21st time.

After a goaless draw in the first half, Jakob Pesek gave Slovan Liberec the lead in 50 minutes.

Tetteh was brought on to replaced Libor Kozak in the 61st and just four minutes on the pitch Sparta leveled through striker David Moberg Karlsson.

Guelor Kanga made it 2-1 for Sparta in the 73rd minute to complete the comeback.

Despite a late pressure from the Slovan, Tetteh and his teammates defended very well till the blast of the final whistle.

The former Dreams FC forward played a key role in the side’s journey to the cup final, scoring a goal in three games.
