German-born Ghanaian striker Ragnar Ache made a triumphant return from injury, scoring a vital equalizer for FC Kaiserslautern in their 2-2 draw against Greuther Fürth.
Ache, who had been battling minor injuries for months, was substituted on in the 73rd minute and found the net just ten minutes later.
The 26-year-old's goal secured a hard-fought point for his team, who had come from behind just like in their previous match. Daniel Hanslik had pulled one back before half-time, setting the stage for Ache's heroics.
"It's a great feeling to come back from an injury and score a goal, especially an important one in front of the West Curve," Ache expressed his joy after the match.
While his fitness is improving, Ache acknowledges that he still has work to do. "Shortly after the training camp, I felt much better. Today I was able to play for 20 minutes, and I think it will stay that way for now. I have to get back into shape now," he said, reflecting on his current condition.
