Ghanaian trio Razak Pimpong, Daniel Amartey and Enoch Kofi Adu have been named among the best African stars to have played in the Danish SuperLiga.

Pimpong, who starred for the Ghana U17 team that won Bronze at the 1999 FIFA World Cup in New Zealand, could not hide delight over the feat.

He left Ghana Premier League club Great Olympics to join Danish giants FC Midtjylland in 2000.

The versatile attacker, now 37, went on to play more than 100 times for Midtjylland, scoring 25 league goals for the club.

In July 2005, he agreed on a move to league rivals FC Copenhagen from January 2006 where he initially struggled.

Pimpong, however, became a cult figure at the club after netting the deciding goal of the Royal League final against Norwegian side Lillestrøm SK.
