Justin Kumi, an Italy-born midfielder of Ghanaian descent, is among several players expected to be promoted to Sassuolo's first team ahead of the next season.

The 19-year-old shone for Sassuolo's U19 team in the 2023/24 season, helping the team to make history by winning the Primavera Championship for the first time.

Following their historic win against Roma, Justin Kumi shared his excitement and happiness:

"Yes, it's the first time Sassuolo has won the Primavera Championship; we are super happy," Kumi told Sportitalia. "Yes, we adhered to Bigica's teachings and managed to win."

Having impressed many, Justin Kumi is now tipped to be one of the players from Sassuolo's U19 team to be promoted to the first team.

In the recently concluded season, the midfielder scored six goals and provided five assists in 28 games.

Other players anticipated to be promoted to Sassuolo's senior team include Flavio Russo, Simone Cinquegrano, and Kevin Leone.
