Ghanaian youngster Prince Kwabena Adu continued his scoring form for FC Viktoria Plzen in their win over FC Banik Ostrava in the Czech Republic League on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

The 21-year-old forward bagged a brace to ensure Plzen claimed a comfortable 3-1 victory in the round 12 fixture at the Městský Stadion in Ostrava.

The former Bechem United player got the opening goal of the match after just five minutes with a brilliant lob after picking a pass from midfielder Alexander Sojka.

Adu doubled the advantage for Plzen on the brink of half-time when he headed home a lofted cross from experienced defender Milan Havel.

Czech midfielder Matej Sin pulled one back for the hosts in the 87th minute after he was assisted by Nigerian forward Abdullahi Tanko.

Plzen wrapped up their victory in the 90th minute through substitute Erik Jirka, who replaced the Ghanaian in the 83rd minute.

Ghana international left-back Patrick Kpozo lasted 76 minutes for Ostrava before he was replaced by midfielder Daniel Holzer.

Adu, who joined Plzen in the summer from the Ukrainian side Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih FC, has scored three times in six appearances in the league.

He also scored in the UEFA Europa League when Plzen drew against German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
