Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng says his visit to Ghana was one of his best experiences.
The 31-year-old German International has not cut ties with his origin despite representing the European country.
Boateng, half-brother of Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng opted to play for the former World Champions prior the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa after representing Germany at youth level.
The defender has since gone on to make 76 appearances for the Germany National team with three FIFA World Cups to his credit.
Despite his allegiance to Germany, the former Manchester City star reveals visiting his native country has been a life-time experience.
The defender played against Ghana at the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and Brazil respectively.
I've been there in Dec 2018 - Best experience! I feel like home there, the people are incredibly friendly and I will definitely come again. Also got family over there yes ???????? https://t.co/Bw4aEiCWne
