Ahmed Shobier, the former celebrated goalkeeper of the Egyptian National team has blamed the poor second half performance of the Black Satellites on their Group B match against Egypt on Wednesday on the individualistic play of the Ghanaians.
Speaking with GNA Sports, Shobier who is now a member of the Egyptian Football Federation said the Ghanaian players in the second half decided to play to the gallery and to out do each other with their skills rather play as one team.
He said even though a win would have been ideal for his team, "we are happy with the draw since it leaves the group very open with every thing to play for in the last final game on Saturday.
"Results so far in the group has truly demonstrated that indeed the group is truly the toughest as all the four teams have realistic chance of making it to the second round if they win their last matches", Shobier said.
He said their final match against Morocco would also be very difficult since the two team play a similar style and know each other very well.
Nobody should write the Moroccans off since they normally do not play well against Black African teams but always do well against their fellow Arabs.
Shobier currently is the host of a sport programme on Egyptian TV, which is one of the most watched sports programmes in the entire Arab world said "if Ghana wants to make a meaningful impact on the tournament there is the need to abandon their individualistic approach to the game and play as one team without Stars".
"It is important there is a need for a player like Derek Boateng to carry the team on his shoulders but that does not mean he should try and do everything by himself since that is not possible in the modern game"
Shobier tipped Mali and Cote D'Ivoire to make the progress into the semi final because they have shown in their last two games that they have what it takes win matches...
