Ghanaian football fans have applauded some key Black Stars players for their performances in the team's two crucial victories against Chad and Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

They hailed Jordan Ayew for showing leadership in the team as captain, with performances that included providing three assists and scoring a goal.

Others applauded Thomas Partey for replicating his performances for Arsenal with the Black Stars, with his tackles and even scoring a brace against Madagascar.

During the Sports Debate show hosted by Benjamin Sackey and aired on GhanaWeb TV, one fan said, "Jordan providing assists and Partey scoring speak well of the team, so it was a good performance. Asare also did well, keeping two clean sheets in both games, he should keep it up."

Others advised head coach Otto Addo to use Benjamin Asare's brilliant performance as motivation to invite more local players to join the team.

"I think there is unity in their performance, so they should keep it up going forward. Asare is very good, so we should try to bring more local players into the Black Stars. It will improve the team," an individual told GhanaWeb Sports.

Another person added, "It has been a long time since Ghana won with such a margin, so it is good for us. I believe we have already qualified with our current performance. For goalkeeping, Asare did well, but Ati-Zigi was not impressive at all, so let's keep trying local players."

A football fan stated that the team's current form is one of the best in history.

"This is one of the best Black Stars teams I have seen since Essien's time, so they should retain their performance for the subsequent matches," the fan said.

The Black Stars defeated Chad 5-0 on March 21, 2025, and secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Madagascar on March 25, 2025.

After six matches played, Ghana lead Group I with 15 points, followed by Madagascar with 10 points, while Mali lie in third position with 9 points.
