Just one Ghanian player acted this round, because the big teams will start next round. The reserve squad of Ajax, because they were winner of the reserve cup last season, had to play against Willem II Tilburg at home. Yakubu played in the very young Ajax squad the whole match. The reserve squad won against the Premier League (Holland Casino Eredivisie) the match with 2-1 by goals of Stefano Seedorf and Nourdin Akachar (both Ajax). Just before time Kew Jaliens made it for Willem II 2-1. Line ups : Ajax: Stekelenburg, Kujala, Pasanen, Yakubu, Valencia, De Jong, Krohn-Dehli('86 Cruz), Sneijder, Akachar ('81 Bechan), Seedorf, Boukhari.
