Charles Amoah's Sturm Graz claimed a spot in next season's Champions' League at the expense of city rivals Grazer AK in the penultimate game of the Austrian Bundesliga season on Saturday. Sturm's 4-1 home win over SW Bregenz coupled with GAK's 1-0 defeat at Salzburg was enough to seal the runners-up spot.

Slovan Liberec enter the home stretch in the race for the Czech title with the slimmest of advantages after they drew 3-3 at home to Brno while Viktoria Zizkov beat Jablonec. Baffour Gyan came on as a third striker in the 63rd min for Slovan Liberec. Baffour's activity invigorated the home side's attack and in the 69th minute he won a free kick out on the left, which resulted in the third goal. Baffour had two more good chances , but the visitors held on to their point to keep the league season exciting to the last round. and also received a yellow card.

Monaco capped a season to forget by losing 3-0 at Sochaux. Alex Nyako, who had a good season, on loan from Everton, played 90 minutes. Monaco are believed to be on the verge of making a bid for Nyarko although Everton have still not received any contact from the French club.

Otto Addo's Borussia Dortmund came from behind to beat Werder Bremen 2-1 and pip Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich to the Bundesliga title. Brazilian midfielder Ewerthon scored a late winner just 60 seconds after coming on for Jorg Heinrich to ensure the win. Addo played the full 90 minutes
Sammy Kuffour's Bayern Munich finish the season empty-handed for the first time since 1995 despite beating Hansa Rostock 3-2.

Jochen Janssen, Yuri Cornelisse and Robert Fuchs all found the net for RKC, while Matthew Amoah and Tim Cornelisse were on target for Vitesse, playing their last game under the stewardship of Edwin Sturing.
