Impressive Gideon Baah retired before half-time after picking up a hamstring injury in New York Red Bulls' 4-3 win against Houston Dynamos.
The left back who suffered the setback was replaced by Karl William Ouimette on 45 minutes.
Baah, a new signing, was making his third straight start for the Red Bulls who earned their first win of the season.
New York fought back from 2-1 and 3-2 deficits before two late goals from Felipe gave the Red Bulls all three points.
Sacha Kljestan and Mike Grella also scored for New York.
