Ghana youth midfielder Gilbert Koomson hit a brace for Norwegian side Sogndal IF and powered them to a 3-0 friendly win over Sandefjord in pre-season friendly in La Manga - Spain.

The former Ghana U17 midfielder steered the newly-promoted Norwegians into the lead after a pulsating stalemate in the opening 45 minutes, assisted the second goal before adding the third from the spot.

The first goal arrived when Koomson showed up in the box with an explosive pace, beating the Sandefjord defender before firing home from tight angle it home for his first goal for the club (75th minute).

He then scored from a penalty kick he won after he was heckled in the box and he beautifully converted it to seal the win for the fine-looking Sogndal side.

The injured Mahatma Otoo did not play in the game for Sogndal.
