Ghanaian goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi has accused Hearts of Oak of neglect following his injury but remains confident that the club will eventually take the necessary action.

The goalkeeper has been injured for 11 months and requires surgery, but according to him, the club has not approved the procedure.

"I got injured 11 months ago and the doctor advised me to undergo surgery, so I’m still waiting for Hearts of Oak to do the needful," he said on Medeama FM.

When asked whether he would take action against the club, Antwi responded calmly, expressing his belief that Hearts of Oak would come to his aid and facilitate the surgery.

Despite reports of his departure, the player insists he still has a contract with Hearts of Oak.

Antwi joined Hearts of Oak from Legon Cities in August 2022 but has barely been utilized by the club, making only eight league appearances before his injury.

The injury caused him to miss the entirety of last season, during which the club faced significant goalkeeping challenges and nearly faced relegation.
