Ghana midfielder Godfred Donsah says his target for the season is to help Bologna remain in the Serie A.
Donsah joined the Rossoblu from Cagliari this season and has been a first-team regular.
But after a poor start to the season, Bologna managed to finish three places above the relegation mark before the winter break.
Donsah managed nine appearances and scored one goal for the first half of the season after battling injuries.
"My target has always been to help Bologna to stay in the Serie A. For me, that will be ultimate success and will bring a lot of joy,” Donsah told GHANASoccernet.com
"I have a long-term contract with Bologna and I want to stay in the top league for a long time too. Things are improving at the club and I only pray it will be better."
Donsah has been in his hometown Sunyani with a crew from Bologna to film a documentary on his hard upbringing which included working in a cocoa plantation.
He is expected to re-join his teammates after Christmas to prepare for the second half of the season.
