Goil amateur seniors Open Golf Championship fixed for Sept 17

Accra, Sept. 13, GNA - The 2011 edition of the Ghana Oil Limited (GOIL) amateur seniors Open Golf Championship will tee off on Saturday, September 17 at the Nsuta Gold Golf Club course.

A statement signed by Emmanuel Abban, Sports Development Officer of the National Sports Authority said the tournament is part of GOIL's commitment to the development and promotion of golf in the country.

It said the event is also expected foster business and encourage networking between business groups in the area.

Abban explained that the choice of Nsuta as the venue is to spread the sport across to other parts of the country as well make use of the Nsuta Golf Course, which was renovated by the Ghana Manganese Company Limited.

The two-day tourney which ends on September 18 is open to golfers aged between 55-years and above.

Winners will be rewarded with attractive prizes.
