Golden Classic golf at Tema

Accra, Nov. 3, GNA--The Fourth Annual Golden Classic Golf championship tees off at the Tema Country Golf Course from Wednesday, November five and ends on Saturday, November eight.

Mr Gilbert Morgan, President of the Ghana Professional Golfers Association (GPGA) who announced this in Accra on Monday, said about 70 professional golfers from Ghana, Nigeria, Benin and Togo are expected to participate in the four-day 72-hole event.

He said after the first two days of play, there will be a cut to determine who qualify for play in the remaining days. Mr Morgan said the association has put a lot of attractive prizes at stake and expressed the hope that participants will give of their best and win them.

Emos Korblah, Victor Brave-Mensah, John Dorman and others will battle each other for the first prize which is six million cedis.
