All is set for this year’s Tigo Tema Open Golf Championship scheduled for the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16.
About 200 amateur and professional golfers from Ghana, Togo, and the United Kingdom are expected to participate in the two-day 36-hole scratch event.
Mr Nicholas Amoah, General Manager of Tema Country Golf Club, said the competition continued to be keener due to attractive prizes at stake.
He named some of the players expected to participate in the competition as Noel Hammond, Captain of the Tema Country Golf Club, Felix Owusu-Adjapong, Alex Fiagomey and Paul Owusu-Baah.
Frank Adu Junior would also lead the Achimota Golf Club which would include Mike Aggrey, Felix Frempong and Mike Ezan.
The Ladies segment would also witness a stiff opposition from Mona Myles-Lamptey, Nana Bema-Tachie, Letitia Amponsah-Mensah, Beatrice Vetsch-Bempong, Ama Morgan and Margaret Owusu-Baah.
The Professionals will battle each other in a hectic 72-hole event, beginning on Tuesday, November 11.
There will be prizes for ‘the longest drive, closest to the pin, and nearest to the pin as well as hole-in-one.
