Ghana head coach Avram Grant has revealed that local players who will excel in this year’s Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament will be given the opportunity to feature for the Black Stars.
The Israeli believes the chance to play for senior national team will improve the local players and will give them a lot of experience before they move to Europe
“My assistant Maxwell is the Coach of the CHAN, so he will make the CHAN Black Stars B. The players that will be good in the league will play in the CHAN and if they are good in the CHAN then they will move to the Black Stars, even though their first target is to play in Europe, but they need to improve themselves,” Grant said.
With the exception of Ashgold Goalkeeper Fatau Dauda, no local player made the cut for the Black Stars squad that played in the recent friendlies against Senegal and Mali in Paris.
