Grant confirms Ghana interest in Inaki Williams

Ghana coach Avram Grant has lauded the quality of Athletico Bilbao wonderkid Inaki Williams and confirmed that they are seeking to get the Spain-based player to switch nationality to play for the Black Stars.

Inaki, 21, born in Spain to a Ghanaian father and Liberian mother is eligible to play his international football for the three countries, Ghana, Spain and Liberia.

But reports indicate that Ghana is the only country amongst the three to have moved a step closer by expressing their interest in the nationality switch of the attacker who has been in a fantastic form for his Spanish club in the ongoing campaign.

Israeli coach of the Black Stars Avram Grant who has done a year in his contract has lauded the quality of Inaki Williams.

“I don’t know he was Ghanaian. We were checking and we found out that , his father is a Ghanaian, the mother is a Liberian and he is a Spanish.”

“So we are finding out the situation with him but then it is not a secret that he is a good player, “Grant told Metro TV.
