Public Relations Officer of Ghana Premier League side Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo has back Kim Grant to lead the club to win laurels and has promised supporters of the club to expect a different Hearts soon.
The Phobians confirmed the appointment of former Charlton Athletic and Black Stars forward Kim Tyrone Grant as its Director of Football and First Team Head Coach on Thursday.
The 46-year-old will be in charge of all technical aspects of the club, from the youth teams to the senior side and will assume his official duties on December 1, 2018.
After the unveiling of Grant, the club have targeted to conquer Africa in the next five years.
Mr Opare Addo is confident the club will witness a new Hearts and has back Kim to restore the club to its glory days.
“A year from now we will all witness a different Hearts Of Oak.”
“Our ultimate goal is to rule Africa and rock shoulders with the biggest clubs on the continent within five years,” he told Asempa FM.
“Kim Grant will be great. He will lead Hearts Of Oak to win titles” he added.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak have not won any major trophies since 2009 with their closest coming in 2017 MTN FA Cup where they were defeated 3-1 by arch-rivals Asante Kotoko.
