The Vice Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee Osei Parmer has debunked reports in the Wednesday edition of the Graphic Sports which says he is in tandem with the Sports Minister's directive to scrap off winning bonuses for Black Stars management committee members, insisting the reports are false and mischievous.
The Graphic Sports quoted Osei Parmer as saying that he agrees with the new directive by the Sports Minister to pay match winning bonuses for only national team players without the management members.
But the Tema Youth President says he has been misquoted as he never said he supports the Minister.
In an exclusive interview with GHANAsoccernet.com, Osei Parmer said he never said that anywhere and he is shocked as to where the newspaper picked the reports from.
"I never said that I support the Minister's assertion. That will be hypocritical on my side if I ever said that," Parmer said.
"If I support the Minister, then it would have been proper for me to say I can no longer serve on the committee. But to serve on the committee and again go against my own interest will be criminal and hypocritical on my side."
Parmer again added that all the claims of the minister scrapping off winning bonuses for management members are hearsays as the Minister has not taken any step to officially inform the federation of his stand on the matter," he concluded.
The current happenings between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ghana Football Association only appear to jeopardize the already sour relationship between the two with new Sports Minister compelling the FA to purchase tickets for its members when the Black Stars played Mozambique in Accra.
