Accra, Sept. 20. GNA - Premier League side, Accra Great Olympics has decided to go back to the drawing board to revise their plans for the rest of the season after suffering their heaviest defeat in the four-week-old premier league at the hands of Accra Hearts of Oak. Olympics went into Sunday's game with a lot of hope following their annexation of the novelty Homowo Cup competition last month, but they were beaten 3-0 by city rivals, Hearts of Oak.
Mr John Teye, Chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the club in a confident mode told the GNA Sports that they have only lost a game but not the entire competition.
He could however not figure the cause of the defeat saying, "Sometimes such things happen in football since it a game of uncertainties".
According to the Chairman, the management of the club will go into a 'crisis" meeting together with the coach to re-organise in a bid to achieve the needed results in the rest of their matches.
Mr Teye gave the assurance that the tide would change when they come up against Power FC on Wednesday to make up for their heavy loss. He confirmed that Printex Ghana Limited, producers of Kalypo fruit drink are the official sponsors of the club but he could not disclose the amount involved in the deal.
According to Mr Teye, the IMC had planned to launch the sponsorship package officially some few days before their game against Hearts but had to call it off due to some hiccups in the arrangements.
He said other companies are also coming on board and there is therefore the need to find a way of allocating them a slot on the jerseys and equipment needs of the club as well as other advertising avenues in the club. 20 Sept. 04
