Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan came off the bench to score for Shanghai SPIG in their 3-1 hammering of Changchun Yatai in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.
The 30-year-old stepped out of the Development Area Stadium dug-out two minutes before the break and managed to write his name on the score-sheet.
Gyan has been battling injuries since the start of the Chinese season but has demonstrated his scoring credentials after twice scoring off the bench.
Sven Goran Eriksson has said he wants to manage the fitness of the striker who has played just four games in the current season.
Shanghai SPIG are third on the Chinese Super League table.
