Gyan scores with the heart for Ghana, not legs - Avram Grant

Ghana coach Avram Grant continues to laud Asamoah Gyan, saying the world-class striker scores with his heart, not legs when representing his country at the international level.
The 28-year-old goal machine delivered the bullet that gave the Black Stars a lifeline in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
The Al Ain attacker scored a fabulous goal at the death to hand the West Africans a precious and important 1-0 win over high-flying Algeria to make Group C wide open.
The Ghanaians will rely on the potency of the former Sunderland man ahead of Tuesday’s must-win game against South Africa, and coach Avram Grant continues to praise his captain for his selfless role.
“But what he did [late strike against Algeria] was very impressive for me. It is not easy to score a goal like this in the last moment,” he said.
“It was not with the legs, it was with the heart. And I want to him to be the symbol for Ghana – for the future.”
Gyan will be hoping to set a new Ghana scoring record at the Nations Cup after equaling Osei Kofi’s seven-goal haul at the continental showpiece.
