Orlando Pirates midfielder Edwin Gyimah has insisted his side must not lose again to Jomo Cosmos in the Nedbank Cup after last Friday’s draw pitched the two together.

Gyimah, who recently moved to the center-back position by the coach, says they can’t afford to lose to Cosmos for the second time.

Speaking to the media after the draw, Gyimah said: "It's like a three-way trip.”

“We have already played them in the league, and we lost that game.

“We are playing them again on Saturday in the league, and we don't want to lose that one."

The Ghana midfielder added that Pirates have hopes of playing in Africa Club Competition and must defeat Jomo Cosmos in the Nedbank Cup to secure a ticket in Africa.

“The Nedbank Cup game is very important because that’s the only trophy that we have the chance to win this season.

“You know it's good that it's not only the league that can give us a place and chance to play in Africa but winning the Nedbank Cup can also give us that chance.

“That's why we really want to go all the way and win it.

“It won't be easy playing against Cosmos but as a team, we want to win this Cup starting with the Cosmos game," the Ghanaian international added.
