Accra, March 15, GNA - Happy 98.9 Frequency Modulation (FM) radio station in Accra has out-doored a new program line-up repositioning the channel as the Number One sports station in the country. The two-time sports station of the year and the reigning Football station of the year, said in a press release copied to GNA Sports in Accr= a on Monday.
Mr Bismark Brown, acting Station Manager in a speech at the launch o= f the programme, said "Sports is a top-of-the mind business to many people in Ghana and all over the world today, and so our advertisers will now have a bigger platform to reach out to their target audience through the station= ".
Mr Akwasi Agyeman, Chief Executive of Global Media Alliance Broadcasting, parent company of Happy FM said that "The new program line-= up is focused on our listeners and what they have been telling us over the years. "We are a listening company and have heard what the market is yearni= ng for" he said.
He said "Our advertisers will also benefit greatly from the depth an= d reach that we will provide", adding that "because of our inclination to h= igh standards, we want to differentiate ourselves from a cluttered mass marke= t and give our audiences and clients quality service for their time and money".
Mr Agyeman, however, reiterated that the station was not all about sports coverage since other social and political programs have been beefe= d up and scheduled at convenient times for listeners to give value to its listeners with emphases on quality.
