Happy FM to show live fixtures of AFCON 2017

Football fans will have yet another season of top class football on the number one sports station, Happy 98.9 FM, as the AFCON 2017 tournament begins with the ‘Ghana Go for Gold Pub Activation’.

This is the live showing of the fixtures by Happy FM at various locations in the capital city, Accra. The AFCON tournament is scheduled to take place in Gabon from January 14 to February 5, 2017.

The ‘Ghana Go for Gold Pub Activation’ will afford fans an opportunity to enjoy live broadcast of some best evening fixtures in an entertaining environment from some selected popular pubs in Accra.

Fans also stand the chance to win amazing prizes in the predict and win competition, ball juggle, lucky dip, brain power and commentary mimic challenge.

According to Kwasi Sarpong, the Programmes Manager of Happy FM said, ‘’we are just heeding to the numerous requests from our fans to show the tournament live,’’ adding that, ‘’we want to make it a community tournament for all football lovers to watch the matches in an enjoyable atmosphere.’’

He encouraged all football fans to listen to Happy FM to know the various areas where the matches will be shown live in order to go and watch.

Some of the venues for the live screen viewing are: Epos, Down Town, Phinlex, Oxford Street Mall, T Havana, Fadama, Sabon Zongo, Bukom Park and many others. Happy FM will also give fans great live commentary of matches on each match day.

The ‘Ghana Go for Gold Pub Activation’ is part of major activities marking the “Ghana Go for Gold Campaign’’ launched by Happy FM last year. The campaign is to raise enthusiasm and excitement of sports fans towards the tournament and also to motivate the Black Stars to go for the ultimate prize by winning the cup at the tournament.
