Defender Harrison Afful scored his first goal of the MLS regular season as Columbus Crew came from behind to beat New York City FC 2-1 Saturday night at MAPFRE Stadium.
Ismael Tajouri-Shradi scored in the 53rd minute to give NYCFC the lead to register his 11th goal of the season.
But it was Affful who levelled for Crew in the 61st minute.
The Ghana international right back followed his initial shot, which was blocked by Alex Ring, and beat a screened Sean Johnson from distance.
Two minutes later, Justin Meram put Columb in front, leaping over Sebastien Ibeagha to latch onto a far-post corner kick and score what proved to be the winner.
