Hasaacas defeat Eleven Wise

Essipong, (W/R) Jan. 12, GNA - Sekondi Hasaacas on Friday defeated city rivals Eleven Wise two nil in a friendly football match that formed part of the seventh People's Assembly at the Essipong stadium near Sekondi. The captain of Hasaacas John Ainoo opened the scoring in the 21st minute of the game through a free kick.

The second goal for the night was scored by Charles Nartey in the 58th minute after he took advantage of a rebound from the Wise goalkeeper. The game, which was scheduled to start at 1600 hours, started at around 1800 hours.

Both teams played a determined game but Wise were unable to match the skill and zeal of Hasaacas and were unfortunate to see the dismissal of their striker Moses Gyamfi in the 24th.

While the Hasaacas keeper was alert throughout the game, his counterpart remained a passenger as he failed to save his side from defeat. The two teams wasted several scoring chances but the few spectators that thronged the newly constructed stadium were highly impressed with their performance.
