Hasaacas hold Dwarfs

Cape Coast : Substitute Ekow Ghansah of Sekondi Hassacas was the toast of fans when his last minute goal enabled his side to draw one-one with Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs in their match at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Hassacas had to play with 10 men when defender Atta Yawson was shown the red-card for dangerous play in the 67th minute but they managed to hold the homesters in check until Ghansah got the vital equaliser.

A powerful right footer from the right flank went straight into the waiting hands of Dwarfs goalkeeper Marquaye Spike.

The goalkeeper, however, fumbled with the ball and it fell on the itching foot of Ekow Ghansah who slammed it into the roof of the net.

Dwarfs, who regarded the match as "home-coming" one after being banned from their Cape Coast base for crowd violence since the end of the last season, started the match in a whirlwind fashion but had to wait until the 30th minute for the opening goal scored by outside left, Stephen Owusu.
