He didn't ask for money from Efia Odo- Hearts of Oak jumps to the defense of Manaf Umar

Manaf Umar Manaf Umar

Hearts of Oak has jumped to the defense of Manaf Umar following reports that he pleaded for money from actress and TV host Efia Odo.

A Twitter handle with the name of the player was spotted posting his number to solicit money from the actress after she posted that she wanted to give out money to 10 of her followers.

While the news has gone viral with many criticizing Umar Manaf, Hearts of Oak has explained in a statement that the news should be treated as fake.

According to the club, the player's account was hacked in making the request.

"Fake news! Manaf Umar never made money request. Our midfielder never requested for money from Ghanaian actress Efia Odo. His Twitter account was hacked in making this request. Please disregard the report", the post on Hearts of Oak's twitter page said.
