Manchester United legend Roy Keane praised Kobbie Mainoo, saying the young player of Ghanaian descent is performing at a level that took Keane 10 years to achieve.

Mainoo made his debut start for England in the 2-1 Euro 2024 Round of 16 extra-time victory against Slovakia. The 19-year-old was one of the standout players on the field before being substituted late in the match.

During his 84 minutes of play, Mainoo showcased impressive passing skills, with only three passes going astray. Keane, impressed by Mainoo's performance, commended his understanding of the game and mastery of his skills.

Keane stated on ITV, "You see the things he is doing; I played in that position, but he's doing things that probably took me 10 years to learn."

Mainoo has played in three matches for England at the Euros, starting with the win against Serbia.

He was benched for the game against Denmark but returned to the pitch for the match against Slovenia.
