Accra, April 11, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has dismissed reports of a proposed relocation to the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast as their home venue for the remainder of the Premier League season.
Reports have of late been rife in the media that the league leaders were considering moving to Cape Coast from their present home venue of the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park.
A statement issued and signed by the Club's Administrative Manager, Ashford Tettey Oku copied to the GNA Sports said that his outfit has never considered such an idea.
"We wish to dispel the said speculations and emphasize that we have neither considered any venue-shift nor made any such request to the Professional League Board (PLB) for its consideration and approval." The statement reminded the teeming fans of the Club that the 28th Week clash against Kpando Heart of Lions will definitely come off on Saturday, 15 April 2007 as well as the 30th Week clash against Berekum Arsenal all to be honoured at the Carl Reindorf Park.
Following the closure of the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium for renovation works this season, the Phobians had to shift venues three times after spells at the Ho and Tema Sports stadiums.
