Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak Football Club Togbe Afede XIV has saved the club’s Japanese Coach Kenechi Yatsuhashi from being sacked.
The businessman cum Chief appealed to the Management of the club to give the trainer one more opportunity at the job after a crunch meeting to hand him a dismissal letter.
Some board and strategic committee members had voted for the Japanese coach to be sacked for his consistent insubordination to management and the technical members of the team.
In the absence of the majority owner, some members had drafted Yatsuhahsi’s sack letter and hinged his dismissal on a possible defeat in the game against Dawu but the game was drawn.
“We are giving him the last chance to behave if not, he won’t last the second round because this is the first time we are hearing some of these acts.
“By the way, we don’t have a replacement yet so let’s hold on for him but if he dare continues, we will give him the boot and expose him to the supporters,” a source told Starr Sports.
The Japanese tactician has been under pressure lately after dropping from the first position to finish off the first round of the Ghana Premier League in fourth place.
The inconsistency in performance coupled with off-field misconduct had been the major contributor to the drop, management say.
Kenichi Yatsuhashi signed a two-year deal with Accra Hearts of Oak at the beginning of this season.
