Hearts of Oak Ceo Fred Crentsil says his club is the richest in Ghana following the floatation of shares.
Many described the club’s share floatation as a massive flop as it raised only 2.5m Ghana cedis from the projected 10m for the sale of 100m shares.
However Crentsil insists the floatation was such a success that it now makes the Accra-based club the richest in Ghana.
“Hearts of Oak today is the richest club in Ghana,” he told Accra-based Hot FM.
“We realized over 2.5m and no club as far as I am concerned can boast of such resources.”
That amount is even expected to rise after the club makes its other sponsorship package public in a few weeks time.
“We have lineup some sponsors which we will be announcing as soon as the new board comes in.
“For now all things are on hold until a few weeks time when we have the new board in place,” he added
